Verse of The Day - View the Verse of the Day from BibleGateway.com. Limited translations are available for the Verse of The Day. To choose a translation, click the button in the upper-right corner of the title bar and select "Edit Settings".

Bible Reading Plans - Choose a reading plan from the Edit Settings menu and each day the reading plan will be presented to you. You can also open your daily reading in a new window to give you more reading space. Limited translations are available for the Bible reading plans. To choose a translation, click the button in the upper-right corner of the title bar and select "Edit Settings".

Choose your default version - Click the button in the upper-right corner of the title bar and select "Edit Settings" to choose a default version that will display each time you visit your iGoogle page. Currently only English, French and Spanish versions can be used as a default version to save screen space.

Keyword Search - Click the Keyword tab to display advanced keyword search options:

• Match ALL words you enter, ANY words you enter or the EXACT phrase you enter.
• Match whole words only. i.e. if you enter the search term "fish" you will not receive results for "fishermen" or "fisherman"
• Display references only or verses and references. Choosing "References only" will show you the title of the chapter and the verse numbers of any matches to your search. Choosing "Verses + references" will show the title and verse number as well as an excerpt near the match.
• Sort by relevance or book order. Choosing "Book order" will order your results starting at Genesis and progressing in order to Revelation.

Q: Can I search topics or keywords?
A: Yes. Your quick search will include keyword and topical search results if you enter a search that does not contain a book of the Bible. i.e.: If you search for “love” you will get keyword results at the beginning and topical results at the end of the page. If you were to search for “Daniel 3:17? you would be directed to that verse. You can also click the Keyword tab for more search options.

Q: Can I change the default version?
A: Yes! Click the button next to the title of the gadget and select Edit Settings to change your default version.

Q: Is there a gadget for Google for Mobile?
A: Only Google can create Gadgets for Mobile currently. There is an iPhone and iPod Touch version though!

Q: Can I choose Verse of The Day or the Bible Reading plans as the default tab?
A: Yes, click the button in the upper-right corner of the title bar and select “Edit Settings”. Choose your preferred tab from the drop-down next to the Default Tab option.

Q: Can I hide the new Verse of The Day and Reading Plan features?
A: Yes, click the button in the upper-right corner of the title bar and select “Edit Settings”. Click the button next to “Hide Verse of The Day and Bible Reading Plans?” to hide these features and retain only the search feature.
